Bags Built for Life With Kids
At UPPER, we believe becoming a parent should not mean giving up your personal style.
Parenthood changes what you carry, how you move, and how you plan your day. Your bag should make those things easier, not add another problem to solve.
That idea is at the heart of UPPER. We create modern, versatile bags designed around real life — from baby essentials and everyday belongings to work gear, travel necessities, and everything in between.
Our goal is simple: less mess, less worry, and more freedom to enjoy the moments that matter.
Where UPPER Began
UPPER was born from a very real parenting problem.
When founders Andy and Ce welcomed their first child, they quickly discovered that traditional diaper bags were often bulky, difficult to organize, and disconnected from their personal style. Carrying a baby, stroller, and overloaded bag through busy New York City streets made it clear that there had to be a better solution.
They began listening to other parents and discovered they were facing many of the same frustrations.
Parents wanted more pockets. They wanted easier access to essentials. They wanted their hands to stay free. They wanted one bag that both parents could comfortably carry. Most importantly, they wanted a bag that looked like something they would actually choose to wear.
In 2018, UPPER launched with a simple belief:
Parenting is hard, but your bag shouldn't make it harder.
Not Just a Diaper Bag
Traditional diaper bags are often designed around one thing: diapers.
UPPER takes a different approach.
We design around the entire day.
Our bags are created to carry baby essentials alongside the things that belong to you. Dedicated organization helps separate work items, personal belongings, bottles, changing essentials, and other everyday necessities.
That means the same bag can move from a morning commute to a family outing, a playground visit, a weekend trip, or a day of travel.
We call them life bags because they are designed for more than the diaper stage.
Functional. Stylish. Unisex.
We believe parents should never have to choose between function and style.
UPPER bags combine thoughtful organization with clean, contemporary designs that work for different lifestyles and personal aesthetics. Our intentionally unisex approach means the same bag can be shared comfortably between moms, dads, grandparents, and other caregivers.
We design products that feel like modern everyday bags first — with the functionality parents need built into them.
From minimalist backpacks to larger carry-all designs, commuter bags, totes, and travel pieces, UPPER continues to create products that can adapt as family life changes.
Designed Around Real Life
The smallest frustrations can have a big impact when you're already managing a busy day.
Searching for keys at the bottom of a bag. Moving essentials from one bag to another. Trying to find a bottle while holding a child. Keeping work equipment separate from baby supplies.
These are the everyday moments that inspire our designs.
We think carefully about accessibility, organization, storage, comfort, and versatility so the things you reach for most often are easier to find and the things you carry every day have a place.
The result is a more organized bag and, hopefully, a slightly easier day.
One Bag for More of Your Life
UPPER bags are designed to grow with your lifestyle.
During the baby years, they can carry diapers, bottles, wipes, clothing, and other essentials. At the same time, they can hold laptops, personal belongings, and everyday work necessities.
As your family grows and your needs change, the same focus on versatility continues to make UPPER useful for commuting, travel, weekends, and everyday life.
Our collections now include diaper backpacks, commuter bags, travel bags, totes, crossbody styles, organizers, and other accessories designed to make life on the move easier.
Thoughtful Organization
Good organization should make your day feel lighter.
UPPER bags feature dedicated compartments and practical storage designed to help keep different essentials organized. Depending on the model, features can include spaces for laptops, drinks, baby necessities, personal belongings, and travel items.
Our approach is not about adding pockets simply for the sake of adding pockets.
Every feature should have a purpose: helping you find what you need faster, pack more efficiently, and spend less time digging through your bag.
Built for Modern Parents
Families come in many different forms.
UPPER is designed for moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers, and anyone who takes care of little ones. Our products are intentionally versatile and unisex because parenting is something we share.
Whether you're heading to work, going to the playground, catching a flight, taking a weekend trip, or simply getting through another busy day, we want your bag to support you without taking over your style.
More Than a Product
For us, UPPER is about more than creating better bags.
Our mission is to support modern families by giving parents practical tools that create a little more freedom in everyday life. When your belongings are organized and your bag works the way you need it to, you have one less thing to worry about.
That extra time and peace of mind can be spent where it belongs — with your family, your work, your passions, and yourself.
A Community of Parents
UPPER has grown alongside the parents who use our products.
Customer feedback continues to influence the way we design and improve our bags. We listen to the real experiences of parents and use those insights to understand what works, what does not, and what could make everyday life easier.
Our community has shown us that an UPPER bag can become much more than a diaper bag. It can be a hospital bag, laptop bag, travel companion, gym bag, or everyday carry.
That versatility is exactly what we set out to create.
Our Purpose
As UPPER continues to grow, our purpose remains centered on families.
We want to empower parents to feel prepared, organized, confident, and comfortable while navigating the beautiful chaos of raising children.
We believe supporting families means giving them products that genuinely fit their lives — products that combine thoughtful function with a sense of personal style.
Because when parents feel supported, they can focus more fully on what matters most.
Our Promise
At UPPER, we are committed to creating bags that work for real life.
We combine modern design, practical organization, versatility, and thoughtful details to create products that can move with you through parenting and beyond.
Our bags are built for baby, but they are made for you.
