Our Story
SpeTool began with a close connection to manufacturing and machining.
Our founder, Steve Yi, grew up surrounded by the sound and experience of a hard alloy factory. After spending years working in aerospace and manufacturing across the United States and Europe, he gained a deep understanding of precision engineering and the challenges faced by smaller workshops and DIY makers.
Steve saw that many woodworkers had limited access to specialized tools that combined professional performance with reasonable pricing.
Together with his longtime friend Terry Chow, an entrepreneur and outdoor enthusiast, he founded SpeTool with a straightforward mission:
