Our Story
The journey began with founder and designer Sonia Hou.
As a Chinese American student, Sonia struggled to find jewelry that was stylish, affordable, skin-safe, and durable. Many products on the market were made from low-quality metals that caused irritation and failed to last. Frustrated by the lack of options, she began designing her own pieces with a focus on quality materials, timeless aesthetics, and everyday wearability.
In 2012, Sonia launched Sonia Hou Jewelry with the goal of bridging the gap between fine jewelry and fashion jewelry through demi-fine designs crafted from premium materials such as 18K gold, 24K gold, and sterling silver. What started as a personal passion quickly evolved into a globally recognized brand celebrated for its unique blend of modern style and cultural storytelling.
