See the Underwater World with Clarity

At Marco’s Dive Optics, we believe that clear vision should never stand between you and the underwater experiences you love. Whether you are exploring coral reefs, snorkeling with your family, photographing marine life, or completing a technical dive, being able to see clearly can transform the way you experience the water.

Our mission is to help divers enjoy sharper, more natural underwater vision through custom prescription dive masks designed around their individual optical needs. By combining professional optical expertise with specialized lens craftsmanship, we aim to provide a more precise alternative to standard corrective diving solutions.

Founded by Marco Zlender, Marco’s Dive Optics was born from a personal experience that revealed a common problem for people who wear glasses: finding a diving mask that delivers the same level of vision correction they rely on above water.

Today, we focus on bringing together premium diving masks and custom optical lenses so that more people can explore the underwater world with confidence.

Our Story: A Personal Mission for Better Vision

The story of Marco’s Dive Optics began during a family diving trip. Marco watched his children become excited about the marine life they discovered underwater, but his own prescription mask left him struggling to see the details they were pointing out.

Despite having spent more than 25 years working in optics, including experience with major industry names such as Carl Zeiss, Marco found that conventional prescription diving masks did not always provide the accuracy he expected. Standard lens options could be limited, and important prescription details, particularly astigmatism, were not consistently accommodated.

That experience inspired him to create a better solution.

Marco began developing custom prescription dive masks with the same attention to precision that he applied to professional eyewear. His goal was to move beyond approximate lens powers and create masks tailored to the individual needs of each diver.

What began as a personal project grew into Marco’s Dive Optics, a specialized business built around a simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to see the underwater world clearly.

Custom Prescription Dive Masks

Our primary focus is the creation of prescription diving masks that combine established diving equipment with individually crafted optical lenses.

Unlike standard corrective masks that may offer only a limited selection of fixed lens powers, our custom approach takes the customer's prescription into account. This allows us to provide solutions for a broader range of visual requirements, depending on the prescription and compatible mask model.

Our custom prescription dive masks support different correction needs, including:

• Single-vision lenses for distance or near vision

• Customized correction for astigmatism

• Bifocal and progressive lens options for suitable prescriptions

• Specialized solutions for more complex optical requirements

Each order is approached individually, with attention to prescription accuracy, pupillary distance, lens positioning, and compatibility with the selected diving mask.

Our aim is to provide a personalized optical solution that helps divers see underwater details more clearly, whether they are enjoying recreational snorkeling or pursuing more demanding underwater activities.

The Importance of Optical Glass

Lens material plays an important role in the quality of a prescription diving mask. At Marco’s Dive Optics, we specialize in mineral optical glass lenses selected and crafted according to individual prescription requirements.

Optical glass offers valuable characteristics for corrective eyewear, including clarity, resistance to everyday scratching, and reliable optical performance when properly manufactured and maintained. Choosing the appropriate lens material and optical design is an important part of creating a mask suited to a diver's vision.

We pay particular attention to prescription power and the positioning of each lens. Correct alignment with the wearer's pupils helps support comfortable, accurate vision and reduces unnecessary optical distortion.

Our lenses are individually ground and prepared to meet the specifications of each order. This personalized process distinguishes our work from solutions that rely exclusively on ready-made corrective inserts or approximate lens powers.

For us, optical precision is not an optional extra. It is the foundation of a custom prescription dive mask.

Crafted for Individual Needs

No two prescriptions are exactly alike, and the right diving mask depends on more than simply choosing a frame. Vision requirements, face shape, comfort, diving style, and the intended use of the mask all influence the final selection.

That is why we take an individualized approach to each prescription order.

We review the customer's optical information, consider the requirements of the selected mask, and determine an appropriate lens configuration. Pupillary distance and other relevant prescription measurements are important considerations when preparing lenses for a particular wearer.

Our workshop process focuses on carefully crafting the lenses and integrating them into compatible diving masks. Rather than treating every customer as a standard prescription, we aim to account for the details that make each person's vision unique.

The result is a more personalized approach to underwater eyewear, supported by specialist optical knowledge and attention to detail.

Quality Diving Masks from Established Brands

A prescription lens is only one part of a successful diving mask. Fit, comfort, construction, and the design of the mask itself are also important considerations.

Marco’s Dive Optics offers diving masks from established equipment manufacturers, including brands such as Apeks, Aqualung, Atomic Aquatics, Beuchat, Cressi, Hollis, Mares, Scubapro, and others.

Different models offer different shapes, sizes, internal volumes, and fields of view. By providing a selection of compatible masks, we help customers explore options that align with their facial fit, preferred diving activities, and optical requirements.

Our goal is to bring together suitable diving equipment and custom prescription lenses in one carefully considered solution. We believe that personalized vision correction should work alongside a mask that feels comfortable and appropriate for the way each diver explores the water.

Supporting Divers at Every Experience Level

Clear underwater vision matters to many different people. Recreational divers may want to identify marine life and enjoy family adventures, while instructors may need to observe students and read hand signals. Underwater photographers can benefit from seeing subjects and details more clearly, and experienced divers may need reliable vision when checking instruments.

We understand that each person has different reasons for seeking a prescription diving mask.

Our approach begins with listening to those needs and helping customers understand the available options. Through personalized consultations, we aim to clarify which lens solutions may be suitable and which mask models can accommodate the required prescription.

We also recognize that ordering custom optical equipment can raise questions. Our goal is to make the process easier to understand, from sharing prescription details to selecting a mask and reviewing the proposed solution.

Our Commitment to Precision and Craftsmanship

At Marco’s Dive Optics, we believe that specialized optical work requires experience, careful measurements, and consistent attention to detail. Our products are individually prepared rather than treated as interchangeable, mass-produced items.

We place importance on prescription verification, lens grinding, correct optical alignment, and careful integration into compatible diving masks. Each stage contributes to the overall quality of the finished product.

We also believe in clear communication. Customers should understand the options available for their prescription, the requirements of the chosen mask, and the process involved in creating their custom eyewear.

By combining technical knowledge with a personal approach, we strive to provide a dependable experience for divers who need more than standard corrective lenses.

The underwater world is filled with details worth discovering, from small marine creatures hidden among rocks to colorful reefs and the expressions of family members sharing an adventure. Poor vision should not be an unnecessary barrier to enjoying these moments.

Marco’s Dive Optics was created to help people see more of the experiences that make diving meaningful. Through custom prescription dive masks, individually crafted optical glass lenses, and personalized guidance, we aim to make clear underwater vision accessible to more divers around the world.
